Heads up!

The All About Owls News Page
We got a call last week about an older Barn Owl box in Mill Valley that had fallen off its tree with young chicks inside. Luckily all the chicks inside were in good shape after an exam at Wildcare. A new, larger Barn Owl nesting box was installed and the baby owls were placed carefully inside. Later that night the parent owls were spotted entering the box to care for the chicks!
We’re so happy that this story had a happy ending, but it does highlight the importance of annual fall cleanings and inspections for any nesting box on your property. Otherwise, you risk the box becoming too heavy and overheating or falling.
Not sure how to clean your box? Just send us an email and we can help!
