We know we spend a lot of time focusing on our amazing local Barn Owls, but did you know it is also nesting season for our local Great Horned Owls? Check out this fun photo of two fluffy Great Horned owlets from a few years ago.

This time of year it is critical to not disturb any nesting owls by avoiding tree trimming and noisy yard work near any nests. It is always best to schedule tree work for October and November when most birds are not nesting.
Next up for nesting will be the Western Screech-owls! Their nesting season starts a bit later from March to April.
